Birds in My Backyard

Some of you may be aware that I keep a couple of dishes of water in the park in my street. I do this to encourage the wild birds to come close enough to me to take photographs of them. I also feed the other birds in my backyard. I feed about 30 odd sparrows, but they keep the insects, flies and spiders away from my yard. There is also a pair of blackbirds, (I like their songs) and two Turtle Doves which are very messy creatures. Eastern Rosella’s visit from time to time. I planted some native bushes, and  pomegranate  to encourage the Superb Blue Wrens that live around the corner, but they do not visit me very often.

Here is a selection of some of the Wild Birds that visit the park. I have many pictures of pairs of baby honeyeaters.
